Lord, please let it be...
I would be very pleased if Al Gore were to end up running for president in 2008. I know that the Hillary fans will pissed off at me but I must admit, I'm not a big fan. Don't get me wrong, if she gets the democratic nomination, I'll definitely vote for her but, at this point, I think that Al Gore would be the best choice. He'd be more "electable", I think. The most beautiful thing of all? He does not have a voting record on the war that he'll have to defend.

The National Anthem en español
Whatever your opinion is on the national anthem being sung in spanish (which Ivy Queen, whom I love by the way, participated in.), given Bush's stance on the issue and the recent take on it that isn't exactly in line with the president's from Condoleezza Rice, this is pretty darned amusing. Hypocritical? I'll let you decide.
Bush has used the Latino people whenever it has been convenient for him (ie. for votes, etc) and claims to speak spanish but, to those that have been paying attention, his loyalties reside only with the wealthy and big business. This offends me. He couldn't give a shit about everyone else.

May Day!
I'm at home today and not buying anything out of respect for my immigrant homies so I suppose that I should post something about immigration and the boycott but, really, it's all been said already and probably far more eloquently than I could put it.
So, instead, for those of you stuck doing nothing, you must listen to this
I can't say that I'm really a Janet Jackson fan but she earns major points for covering Debbie Deb's "Lookout Weekend". I can easily say that the original is in my top 10 favorite songs of all time.
Also, why not watch Stephen Colbert blast Bush and his administration at the White House Correspondent's dinner if you haven't already?
Happy Day Without An Immigrant!!!! and I do hope to see some of you downtown (Fresno) at the rally later.
